Grand Champions Gears Up for Fall Tournamentsposted on 11 September 2009 | posted in World News | (0) CommentsOnce one of the best kept secrets in polo, the Grand Champion’s reputation for staging friendly and competitive tournament play at the 10-14 goal level has attracted a varied group of professionals and patrons to South Florida’s temperate weather and unparalleled field conditions. Rotating team rosters allow participating players to play with and against a changing cast of top professionals in each tournament while working toward honing their on-field talents. “We’ve focused on fun competition,” said club president Melissa Ganzi, “we’re looking forward to everyone having a good time while improving their game as well.” Club sponsored social events will be offered every weekend as well as trophies and awards for each and every tournament. In addition to the club’s annual Fall Challenge Cup, presented by Polo Gear, the US Trust Cup (Oct. 30-Nov. 8) and the Pedro Morrison Memorial Cup (Nov. 11-15th), the club, in conjunction with the Palm City Polo Club, will be offering two new USPA tournaments in the Kay Colee Memorial (Oct. 14-18th) and the USPA Fall Classic (Oct. 21-Oct. 25th). Because the field is expected to fill out quickly, the club is requesting that all interested players RSVP this week, as space is limited and the club needs commitments to assure that the best resources are in place for all participants. The club’s approach is to tailor a polo experience that fits your specific needs, goals and financial objectives. All interested parties are asked to contact the club’s fall polo manager, Joey Casey at 561-289-9909 or visit their website at www.grandchampionspolo.com for more information about the club.
